About Malica

For most of my adult life, I was doing what successful women are taught to do: leading in corporate, serving faithfully at church, being a great wife and Mom, immersed in my sorority and showing up for everyone else. Besides, I was the girl who made it out of Pomonok Projects in Queens, NY into the ranks of corporate america.

On paper, I was winning. I looked polished, professional and in control.

In real life, my body quietly paid the price. Not only was I going through a painful separation, I was exhausted in my body and quietly dependent on sugar just to keep going. Sugar became my coping mechanism and rest felt irresponsible.

The wake-up call

When I was told I was pre-diabetic and overweight by my doctor, with no questions about stress, lifestyle, or season of life, I knew something had to change. Instead of asking, “How do I fix myself?” I asked a different question: Who am I becoming?

The shift

I released over 30 pounds, reversed my pre-diabetes, restored my energy, and rebuilt trust with my body.

But more importantly, I stopped negotiating with my health.

That change didn’t come from willpower or restriction. It came from identity.

Today, I help women leaders break free from sugar, burnout, and self-betrayal, so they can lead their lives with the same clarity, energy, and integrity they bring to everyone else.

My work is rooted in:

  • identity-based health

  • faith-centered stewardship

  • rest as a leadership practice

  • environments that support consistency

I believe that success without health is fragile and rest is one of the highest levels of leadership.

If you’re ready for your health to finally match the life you lead, you’re in the right place.
